Lincoln, KS--The Lincoln Wrestling Team began their season on Saturday December 3rd with the annual Lincoln Round Robin Invitational. The leopards were led by senior wrestlers Kevin Cavalli and Sean Ussrey who wrestle at the 160 and 152 weight classes respectively. In their first matches of the year, Ussrey
was able to pin his way through the tournament to attain the first place medal; Cavalli pinned his way to
finals and earned a second place finish.
The leopards left the round robin with several medals including: Rocky Krueger 2nd at 106, Kyle Budreau 4th
at 120, Kyle Cavalli 2nd at 138, Austin Biggs 2nd at 145, Joe Myers 4th at 182, and Colton Panzer 4th at 220. Gage Reinhardt (145) and Tyler Anderston (182) also participated in the tournament but did not place.
The wrestlers will travel to Onaga on Saturday December 10th where they will meet 11 other teams in
competition. The leopards will soon be able to compete again at home as Lincoln High School hosts at
9:30am on Saturday December 17th .
