Ellsworth, KS--As the snow fell, Lincoln wrestlers weighed in for their last competition of 2010, the Ellsworth Round Robin. It was a successful day as Lincoln came home with a title at 160 won by Kyle Zachgo who is 12-2 going into break. Lincoln also had six runners-up, and one third place finsher. "We won some close matches in overtime, but the best thing we can take away from this weekend was our competiveness," stated Coach Naasz, "we fought today and didn't give anyone anything easily, if they beat us, they earned it."
The wrestling team will not be competing again until January 7 when the Junior Varsity team travels to Concordia, and the Varsity will compete in the Ellsworth Invitational on January 8. Until then, the team will get back to work in the practice room, except for a five-day KSHSAA mandated break.
