Outstanding individual performers for the leopards were Riggs Walter (103), Sean Ussrey (152), and Kyle Zachgo (160) who all went a perfect 4-0 on the night.
A very special moment was witnessed by all in attendance prior to the final round. After the senior wrestlers were recognized, Stafford coach Jay Sweet asked for everyone to recognize a moment of silence in honor of Melody Poole, Stafford's manager who was killed in a tragic car crash last spring.
This weekend the varsity will be traveling to Beloit on Friday and Saturday to participate in what many believe is the most challenging tournament in North Central Kansas. Wrestling will begin at 2pm on Friday and 9:30am on Saturday. The JV team will be traveling to Stafford on Saturday for their annual jv tournament which will begin at 9:00am.
